The 2017 NTU  New Graduate Student Orientation was held in R201 on September 9, 2017 between 13:00 -15:20. There were a total of 184 freshmen attended the orientation with attendance rate of 94.4%. The orientation was organized by Discipline Division of Environmental, Occupational Health and Food Safety, and each institute (discipline) jointly assisted the orientation. 

The Orientation began under the hosting Dean Chang-Chuan Chan. Then Sarah Huang from OIA introduced the General Affairs for Outgoing Exchange Student Programs. Associate Dean Chang-Fu Wu explained the safety regulations and environmental landscape of College of Public Health and conducted escapte/evacuation and fire extinguisher with practical drills under the assistance of the College and all administrators. Finally four college teachers (Associate Professor Yu-Chi Tung, Assistant Professor Wan-Chen Lee, Professor Yu-Kang Tu, and Associate Professor Ya-Mei Chen) delivered a speech about providing valuable experience.
